Philippe Coutinho says talk of a move to Barcelona ‘is complicated’ and insists his sole focus is on playing for Brazil ahead of their friendly against Australia.

The Liverpool star has been linked with a move to the Catalan side in the Spanish press, with Sport claiming Coutinho has already agreed a transfer.

But speaking ahead of Brazil’s friendly against Australia at Melbourne Cricket Ground, Coutinho said he still has a long contract with Liverpool.

‘Talking about this (Barcelona) is complicated,’ Coutinho told a press conference.

‘I have a contract with my club and it’s long so my focus is on the present and the national team. My focus is here.’

The 25-year-old was pictured training with his Brazil team-mates on Monday as they geared up for the clash with the Socceroos.
