Ligue 1 Giants, Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly contacted Chelsea’s Manager, Antonio Conte on becoming their next manager.
With major question marks over Conte ‘s future at Stamford Bridge given a disappointing season in the capital, PSG boss Unai Emery looks like he will be on the lookout for a new job come the summer.
Even though the French club holds a 14-point lead over Monaco at the top of Ligue 1, the pressure has intensified on the Spaniard following his side’s Champions League exit.
Handed a tough draw against reigning champions Real Madrid, PSG, who added Neymar and Kylian Mbappe to their squad in the summer, couldn’t find a way past Los Blancos despite many tipping them to win the competition come May.
Given it is inevitable that Emery will be out of the job come the end of the season, Conte has emerged as the leading candidate for the hot seat at the Parc des Princes.
Featuring on the front page of L’Equipe, the French publication run with the headline ‘Path to Conte ‘ amid Emery’s probable exit.
While reporting that Conte would be very interested in the job in the French capital as he believes he could lead them to Champions League glory, they also claim that PSG have already held talks with his brother, Gianluca, about the position.
As well as that, they also claim that Federico Pastorello, Conte’s agent, will be in Paris next Tuesday to hold discussions.
