Collins feature as Paderborn slump to 8th league defeat of the season

Super Eagles left-back Jamilu Collins was on parade for Paderborn in their Bundesliga 2 away defeat to Jahn Regensburg at the Continental Arena on Friday.

Jamilu Collins started the match and was yellow-carded for rough challenge four minutes after half hour mark.

The former Rejika defender was later substituted for German-born Ghanaian player Prince Osei Owusu 81 minutes as Paderborn search for an equalizer.

After the first 45 minutes ended without a goal, Jahn Regensburg finally scored the winning goal in the 53rd minutes, thanks to a strike from German striker Sebastian Stolze.

The victory brought an end to Jahn Regensburg’s run of four matches without a win ( three draws and a defeat).

The three points also moved the home side to 11th on the table, just two points behind the conquered Paderborn who have now failed to win five out of their last eight matches.

Collins and his teammates will be hoping to bounce back when they host Darmstadt next Friday.
