The Homebased Super Eagles team has commenced preparation inside the MKO Abiola Stadium Abuja with the head coach Salisu Yusuf and Akwa United goalkeeper, Adewale Adeyinka no where to be found.
Brila can confirm that no reason was given for the head coach’s absence but Adeyinka, reliably, is said to be in Sudan to sign a contract with a Sudanese side Al-Hilal.
We reported on Wednesday that goalkeeper Adewale Adeyinka has arrived in Sudan ahead of finalizing his medical with Al-Hilal.
The Eagles camp was opened on Wednesday in Abuja as the players prepare to square up against the Black Galaxies of Ghana.
The first leg would take place in Accra, Ghana on August 28 with the return encounter scheduled for the MKO Abiola National Stadium, Abuja on September 3.
The winner of the two legs on aggregate will earn a berth at the seventh African Nations Championship finals to be staged in Algeria in 2023.
