French club, Olympique Marseille has inducted former Nigerian Left back, Taye Taiwo, into their hall of fame.
Taiwo who played between 2005 and 2011 at Marseille was presented the recognition award in the presence of former forward and Club advisor, Fabrizio Ravanelli.

The induction into Marseille’s Club of Legends rewards Taye Taiwo’s successful tenure at Stade Vélodrome where he made 192 appearances.
It was also a trophy-ladened period for the Nigerian following their Ligue 1 triumph in 2009-10 season as well as a Coupe de la Ligue double, the Trophee des Champions and UEFA Intertoto Cup.
Marseille signed the defender as a 20-year-old from Nigerian League side Lobi Stars in January of 2005.
The Club acquired the player’s services on a three-year deal for a fee in the region of €200,000.
