Milan manager, Stefano Pioli, is excited about the signing of Samuel Chukwueze from Villarreal.
Pioli described Chukwueze as a complete winger, praising his speed, technical ability, strength in one-on-one situations, and his ability to attack deep into the opposition’s territory.
Despite Pioli’s high regard for Chukwueze, he also acknowledged that he would need to work with the player in training to better assess his capabilities on the field.
“We had talked to each other a couple of times, we were looking for a player with these characteristics.
“He’s fast, technical, strong in one-on-one, and he attacks deep. He seems like a complete winger to me, but until I train with him, I can’t tell,” he said after his side’s friendly against Serie A rivals AC Milan.
Chukwueze’s reputation has been bolstered by his recognition as the Best African Player in LaLiga during the previous season.
The transfer fee for Chukwueze’s move to Milan was reportedly €20 million with an additional €8 million in potential add-ons, making it a significant investment by the Italian club.
