AC Milan manager, Paulo Fonseca has revealed that Samuel Chukwueze is finding it difficult to adapt to the demands of Serie A.
Fonseca cited a lack of confidence and decision-making challenges as key factors behind his struggles.
Chukwueze, who joined the club from Villarreal last year, has yet to make a significant impact since his arrival.
Despite a promising preseason where he scored against Real Madrid and assisted twice in a match against Manchester City, the 25-year-old has struggled to maintain that form in the regular season.
He has lost his place in the starting lineup and has not recorded a goal or assist in the current campaign.
“Chukwueze had a very good preseason; I think he just needs to build confidence within the context of Serie A, where you have neither time nor space to think and must make the right decisions quickly,” Fonseca said in an interview on the club’s official website.
Samuel Chukwueze has appeared in five league games this season, starting the first two matches, but has yet to make a significant contribution on the field.
