AC Milan secured a 3-1 victory over Club Brugge in their UEFA Champions League clash on Tuesday, with Nigerian winger Samuel Chukwueze providing an assist after coming off the bench.
The match also saw Brugge’s Nigerian midfielder, Raphael Onyedika, sent off for a reckless challenge.
Christian Pulisic opened the scoring for Milan, netting directly from a corner kick in the first half.
Club Brugge’s challenge grew tougher when Onyedika received a straight red card, reducing the Belgian side to ten men.
Despite being down a player, Brugge fought back and managed to level the score in the second half.
However, Milan coach Stefano Pioli responded by introducing Chukwueze and Noah Okafor as substitutes.
Chukwueze made an immediate impact, assisting Tijjani Reijnders, who scored twice to seal the win for Milan.
The result boosts Milan’s chances in the group stage as they continue their pursuit of European glory.
