Super Eagles of Nigeria star Samuel Chukwueze netted his first goal in the UEFA Champions League for Villarreal on Wednesday night.
Chukwueze, who recently returned from injury that kept him out of action for five months scored the last goal as Villarreal secured a 4-1 away victory over Young Boys FC.
The 2015 FIFA under 17 world cup winner took the place of Arnaut Danjuma on the 89th minute and he scored with his first touch into his Champions League debut.
The Nigerian international latched to a pass from Gerrard Moreno on the 92nd minute to make it 1-4 in favor of Villarreal.
Spain youngster Yeremi Pino opened scoring for the Villarreal on the 6th minutes, and Gerard Moreno doubled the lead in the 16th minutes to end the first half 2-0.
Congo star Meschack Elia pulled on for the hosts on the 77th minutes before Alberto Moreno restored Villarreal’s two goals lead on the 88th minutes.
The Nigerian international will now be looking forward to building on his impressive form when the Yellow Submarine club play their next game this weekend.
