Super Eagles invitee Samuel Chukwueze made his full La Liga debut on Sunday in Villarreal’s 1-1 with Levante and was on from start to finish.
The 19-year-old who has been invited for the Super Eagles November 17 clash with the Bafana Bafana of South Africa became the fifth youngest Nigerian to debuted in La Liga when he was named in the starting line-up as Villarreal forced visiting Levante to a 1-1 draw.
Chukwueze’s full debut saw him replace former Super Eagles right-back Gbenga Okunowo as the fifth youngest Nigerian to play in the Spanish La Liga Santander aged 19 years, 5 months and two weeks.
Okunowo who played for Catalonia giants Barcelona debuted at 19 years, 6 months, 1 when he featured for the Club against Racing Santander on August 30, 1998.
Meanwhile, Super Eagles winger Moses Simon was missing in action for Levante in the game that saw them dropped two valuable points after Villarreal equalized in the third minutes of added time.
