Nigeria winger, Samuel Chukwueze has been given jersey number 11 by the Spanish side, Villarreal ahead of 2019/2020 season.

Chukwueze previously wore jersey number 30 last season which was his first in the Spanish top-flight league.

The Spanish club made the announcement in a post published on their official website on Thursday.

Chukwueze is the first Villarreal player to wear the jersey since Danish legend Jon Dahl Tomasson, vacated the number after 2007/08 season.

Chukwueze who recently signed a deal with Jay-Z’s Rock Sports is expected to build on his solid performance for Yellow Submarine when the new Spanish league season kicked off this weekend.
