Chukwueze, sustained an injury during AC Milan’s Serie A encounter against Cagliari over the weekend.
During the match, the 24-year-old was forced to leave the field early in the second half following an injury to his thigh.
Confirmation of the Winger’s injury came from Milan Post on Sunday, stating that the player had indeed suffered a muscular ailment to his thigh.
However, the exact severity of the injury remains uncertain, pending further evaluation by Club’s doctors.
With the World Cup qualifiers looming, Nigeria is slated to host South Africa at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo on June 7, followed by an away fixture against Benin Republic four days later.
