Nigerian winger Samuel Chukwueze was unlucky as his two goals were disallowed by the Virtual Assistant Referee (VAR) during Milan’s 3-3 draw against Sassuolo on Sunday.

Chukwueze’s hopes of scoring for Milan were dashed when his headed goal was ruled out for offside after a VAR review, leaving him frustrated on the field.

Despite a spectacular outside-of-the-boot shot finding the net in the 63rd minute, Chukwueze’s celebrations were short-lived as VAR once again intervened, disallowing the goal for offside, much to the bewilderment of players and fans alike.

Subsequently, he was substituted two minutes after his second disallowed goal, making way for Christian Pulisic as Milan sought a breakthrough.

It was a disappointing moment for the Nigerian international who is desperate to prove his worth to the fans.
