Former Nigeria international Raphael Chukwu-Ndukwe has called on the coach of Nigeria’s men senior national team Super Eagles to thoroughly consider exploring the abundance of talents in the Nigeria league scene ahead of his contract extension with the Nigeria Football Federation.
Chukwu-Ndukwe speaking in a chat with www.brila.net advised that the coach should look keenly into the Nigerian league beyond just paying lip service and also see areas where players in the domestic league can be of value to the national team of Nigeria.
“The only thing I can advise to put in his contract is for him to be able to go and watch a lot of Nigerian league too, it’s not only going overseas to go and watch all these players.
The Professional league in Nigeria, he needs to go there. There is a lot of talent there and he can also get two or three or four players that he can put in the team. We have two or three old players in this team that will leave very soon. So he can find good talents in the Nigeria league not only going to Europe to watch Nigerian players play.”
