Former Super Eagles striker Raphael Chukwu Ndukwe has hailed Nigeria’s showing in last night’s international friendly against Ukraine which ended 2-2 with the home team forcing Nigeria to a draw having trailed to 2 first-half goals against Nigeria.
Chukwu Ndukwe speaking in a chat with www.brila.net hailed the team’s play and organization against a top side like Ukraine and described the game as a good one with an impressive performance from the new-look Super Eagles team.
He also said this team looks good enough to form the core of what the new-look Super Eagles should look like.
“It was a very good game from a very young team, I am really impressed, like in the first half they were composed, kept possession a d went for the first balls and gave the Ukrainians pressure so that they couldn’t play their game.
And don’t forget Ukraine is a very good team currently doing well in the European Euro qualifiers to show how good they are and currently lead a group that has a number of big teams in Europe.”
