Middlesbrough have agreed a fee with Dutch giants Ajax Amsterdam for their star striker Chuba Akpom.
According to the The Athletic, Ajax had their €12million (£10.4m, $13.2m) plus in €2m add-ons bid accepted by Boro who have given the striker permission to travel to Amsterdam for his medical.
Akpom who has a year left on his Boro contract will sign a five-year contract at Ajax Amsterdam.
The 27-yeaf-old enjoyed a great campaign for Middlesbrough last season, scoring 29 goals in 42 games in all competitions.
French side RC Lens and Premier League side Sheffield United also showed interest in the former Arsenal youngster.
Akpom began his career at Arsenal before joining Greek side PAOK permanently in 2018 after a series of loan moves across the Football League.
