Chuba Akpom has disclosed that he’s yet to make decision on his future with Ajax, as the season draws to a close.
The forward stated this during a chat with the media after Ajax’s 4-1 win over FC Volendam on Sunday.
Akpom, who made the switch from Middlesbrough last summer, has been linked with a potential back to English football.
Both Nottingham Forest and Fulham have emerged as formidable contenders vying for his signature.
However, Akpom stayed that his future lies in the hands of Ajax.
“I don’t know yet what the club wants. I just want to have fun and play football, it doesn’t matter where. We have two more games to play and then we will see what will happen,”he told ESPN via Voetbal International.
“I cannot predict the future. The most important thing is that I enjoy it. Whether I start or have to come from the bench, I do what I have to do.”
Chuba Akpom found the back of the net in a recent match against Volendam FC over the weekend.
This goal to his tally for the season to 15 and two assists across 34 appearances in all competitions for the Dutch club.
