SC Heerenveen forward Chidera Ejuke says he loves the rivalry between Ajax and Feyenoord over his signature.
Ejuke, who is likely to quit The Super Frisians when the transfer window opens, admitted that any decision on a possible move would be made by him and the club.
Though no official bid has been made, Feyenoord are believed to be ahead of Ajax in the race for the signature of the highly-talented winger, having made contact with the player’s representatives.
Reacting to interest from both clubs, the 22-year-old said;
“To be honest, of course, I love this competition,” Ejuke was quoted as saying by Soccer News Netherlands.
“If an opportunity arises, then, of course, it depends on what the club and I want. What the club ultimately wants will also be best for me.”
Ejuke was arguably Heerenveen’s best player last season, after notching 10 goals and six assists from 29 matches before the league was canceled in April following the coronavirus outbreak.
