Super Eagles star, Chidera Ejuke netted his first goal for Sevilla in their 2-1 victory over Real Valladolid in a Spanish La Liga match at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium on Tuesday night.
Ejuke found the back of the net just minutes after coming on as a substitute for veteran Spanish forward Jesus Navas.
The Nigerian winger had failed to score in his previous five appearances for Sevilla since joining the club during the summer transfer window.
Gerard Peque opened the scoring for Sevilla just before halftime, but Valladolid’s Kike Perez equalized in the 56th minute. Ejuke then sealed the win with a decisive goal five minutes from the end.
His compatriot, Kelechi Iheanacho, started the game but was substituted in the 61st minute after attempting four shots on goal.
With this win, Sevilla climbed to 12th place in the league standings.
