Chelsea’s new darling and Super Eagles target Tammy Abraham has spilled the beans on one of the most constant feature in his pre-game rituals.
Abraham, who is a Chelsea academy graduate, is getting his big break with the first team this season under new Manager Frank Lampard.
Two goals – including the winner – in Chelsea’s first league victory this season sent the 21 year-old on his way this campaign.
He celebrated – wheeling away – spread arms helping the eyes settle on his now very familiar wrist (tape) band, before he fist pumped the air.
In a recent interview the player who has been long sort by the Nigeria Football Federation, revealed the band was his superstition.
Abraham argues he could be the most superstitious player in the Chelsea locker room this season.
Responding to a series of quickfire questions, He was asked who is the most superstitious?
His reply: “Myself. I always have to have two -I don’t even know what they call it- tapes, bands anything on my wrist, if I don’t then… [speaks under his breath] I don’t play well.”
He also revealed the team’s strongest is France International Kurt Zouma. The Poser his England teammate Reuben Loftus-Cheek and the worst dresser is Croatia’s Matteo Kovacic.
