Chelsea made history in their 8-0 victory against Armenian side FC Noah at Stamford Bridge on Thursday, recording the largest win ever in the UEFA Conference League.
Key performances came from João Félix and Christopher Nkunku, who both scored twice. Tosin Adarabioyo, Marc Guiu, Axel Disasi, and Mykhailo Mudryk also contributed to the scoring.
By halftime, Chelsea had already netted six goals.
The win surpassed the previous record for the biggest margin of victory in the competition, which began in 2021.
Chelsea’s 8-0 win also matched their second-largest win in club history, only behind their 13-0 defeat of Jeunesse Hautcharage in 1971.
Chelsea’s head coach, Enzo Maresca, commended his team’s professionalism, saying: “The players once again showed how professional and serious they are… What I asked them before the game was to show how serious we are, how professional, and they showed that.”
With this victory, Chelsea remains top of the league phase standings with nine points from three matches.
