Victor Moses enjoyed his best days as a Chelsea player under Italian Boss, Antonio Conte, but the Nigerian star could return to the club’s Surrey HQ to another Italian at the helm.
Chelsea are close to naming Maurizio Sarri as replacement for Antonio Conte – whose sack is looming – and the former Napoli Manager is expected to take charge of the team’s preseason preparation from the Cobham training facility to the tour of Australia.
Under Antonio Conte’s guidance, Chelsea won the Premier League and FA Cup, both with Moses as a key squad member.
However, with the impending change of leadership at Stamford Bridge, the Nigeria International may need assurances his first team place is still secured; should Sarri opt for a different tactical approach to his countryman.
Moses has been handed; at least, a two-week rest period after Nigeria’s world cup exit before he returns to the club for pre-season.
