Chelsea have officially halted their pursuit of Napoli forward Victor Osimhen, redirecting their efforts towards acquiring Atletico Madrid’s youngster, Samu Omorodion.

The Blues had engaged in extensive negotiations with Napoli over a potential swap deal involving Romelu Lukaku and a substantial cash sum.

However, the talks proved to be complex and slow-moving, causing considerable tension within the Campania club.

Despite the stalled Osimhen negotiations, Napoli remains keen on securing Lukaku to satisfy new coach Antonio Conte.

However, they need to offload the Nigerian striker to fund the purchase of a new center forward.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Chelsea have decided to shift their focus entirely to Omorodion, seeking to finalize a deal with Atletico Madrid for the young talent.

Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain remains in contention for Osimhen, with Arsenal also potentially re-entering the race.

Interest from Saudi Arabia persists, though the 25-year-old striker remains hesitant about the move.
