Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle has made it clear that his primary concern lies with his own squad as they gear up to face Jamaica in the final of the Unity Cup on Saturday.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Chelle was quick to dismiss any detailed analysis of the Jamaican side.

“I don’t want to talk too much about Jamaica, I’m not their coach,” Chelle said. “My focus is on my team and how we approach this game.
“The most important thing for me is how the players play, how much they improve each day in training. That’s what matters.”
Nigeria beat Ghana 2-1, on Wednesday, to book a place in the final.
Chelle is expected to stick with the core of that starting XI, although there may be a few tactical adjustments.
Saturday’s clash will mark the seventh meeting between Nigeria and Jamaica, with the Super Eagles holding a slight edge in the head-to-head record (3W, 2D, 1L).
Meanwhile, Chelle and his players will be looking to end on a high and carry momentum into their next fixture, international friendly against Russia, scheduled for June 6 in Moscow.
The Unity Cup is part of Nigeria’s broader preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, which resumes in September 2025.
