Striker Sikiru Alimi has expressed delight after earning a call up to the Super Eagles B for Sunday’s African Nations Championship qualifier against Togo.
Alimi was one of 20 players invited by Head Coach Imama Amapakabo for the qualifier.
“God will always show humans that he is a living God, when you put God first, things will fall in place for you, he has been so faithful and I can only appreciate him more,” the Striker told brila.net.
“I say thank you to the technical crew for extending an invitation to me, we have thousands of footballers around, but then, God was merciful. I will always do my best whenever I get the chance to represent my father land.”
The forward was Sunshine Stars top scorer for two seasons before moving to Lobi Stars. He also featured for Nigeria at the junior level in the past.
