CHAN: Eagles will soar in Morocco – Dele Ajiboye

Super Eagles goalkeeper, Dele Ajiboye, who was in goal when Nigeria won the FIFA U-17 World Cup in 2007, has given his thoughts on Super Eagles and Plateau United’s NPFL Glory.

In an exclusive chat with brila.net’s Chidozie Okoroji, the goalkeeper Ajiboye gave his thoughts on the Super Eagles world cup preparation, and Plateau United’s NPFL triumph.

The former Warri wolves goalkeeper expressed his optimism that the Chan Eagles will do excellently will in next year’s CHAN tournament.

‘I believe we are in a good position to soar high in Morocco’, with early preparation, the team will do well.

Looking at the WAFU cup played some months ago, Dele said ‘I see the WAFU Cup as a training tour for us’.

Before we left Nigeria, we did not have a proper preparation. But I’m really happy because we did well. Because, despite the lack of proper preparation, we went all the way to the final.

I believe we will have a proper preparation for CHAN, at least one-month preparation compared to what we had before going for the WAFU Cup.

The 27-year-old goalkeeper also expressed his satisfaction with the state of things with the Super Eagles presently, in his words ‘The Super Eagles is a complete team right now, everything seems to be going well for the team’ Ajiboye told brila.net.

Finally, the Under-17 World Champion under Legendary Coach, Late Yemi Tela is hopeful that his premier league side, Plateau United will do well in next season’s CAF Champions League.

Plateau United will be representing Nigeria on the continental scens after their massive outing in the just concluded NPFL season as Champions.
