Former NFF Technical Committee chairman, Barr. Chris Green has advised the CHAN Eagles to focus on building a winning mentality rather than seeking revenge against Ghana.
The CHAN Eagles are preparing for the African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers, this December, where they will face Ghana in a two-legged tie.
It’s a highly anticipated clash, especially after Ghana edged out Nigeria on penalties in 2022 to secure a spot in the Competition.
However, Green cautioned against fixating on revenge.
Instead, he emphasized the importance of proper preparation and instilling a winning mindset in the players.
Speaking with Brila.net, Green said: “They should prepare the team very well and instil a winning mentality.

“Talk to them properly, make sure the best players are chosen to represent the country, and then leave the rest to the game.”
The first leg of the tie will take place in Ghana between December 20th and 22nd, with the return leg in Nigeria a week later.
The winner over the two legs will earn a spot at the 2025 CHAN tournament, set to be co-hosted by Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.
