Some CHAN Eagles players deserve a chance – Eguavoen

Former Super Eagles coach, Austin Eguavoen has urged coach Gernot Rohr to hand a few number of players from the Silver winning CHAN Eagles to his team.

Speaking to brila.net in an interview, The former Eagles coach said there are some stand-out players in the Home-based Eagles team that should be added to the list of players that will be invited for the world cup friendlies.

The Former Sunshine Stars FC Manager believes that the friendly games against Serbia and Poland later this month is a perfect time to hand some of the Local lads a chance to train with the main Eagles team.

He said the few distinguished players from the CHAN Eagles should be allowed a chance to compete for positions in the Super Eagles team.

The Nigeria national team will be involved in a pre-World Cup friendly against Poland on March 23, 2018, followed with another London friendly on 27th against Serbia.

The Super Eagles have been drawn against Argentina, Croatia and Iceland in Group D of the 2018 World Cup, while their friendly opponents, the Polish team, are in Group H alongside Senegal, Colombia and Japan.
