If Gernot Rohr’s presence in Tangier, Morocco is not a distraction to the Eagles, then it sure would be a motivation – the NFF hopes for the latter.
Rohr arrival at the team’s base ahead of Nigeria’s opening group game on Monday threw the camp into a frenzy according to report.
The NFF officially confirmed that “outstanding” players from the group will be selected for the 2018 FIFA World Cup squad.

Mr. Gernot Rohr, Technical Adviser of the A squad, has made it known that outstanding individuals would be considered for the showpiece in the Russian Federation in the summer, leaving the fate of the home boys lucky to make it to Morocco firmly in their own hands.
Meanwhile, in a chat with Babafemi Raji on Brila FM, media officer Toyin Ibitoye described the mood in the Eagles camp as “lively” and assured the players were in good shape and well adapted to the conditions in Morocco.
He also informed that there were no injury worries and every player was available for selection against the Amavubi.
