Coach of Zambia’s U23 national team Beston Chambeshi has stated that he is still very optimistic of his side’s chances of qualifying out of the group stage of the ongoing CAF Africa U23 cup of nations despite losing 3-1 to Nigeria’s U23 to stay without a win in two group matches.
Chambeshi speaking in a chat gathered by brila.net rued the defeat against Nigeria and felt it was a game they shouldn’t have lost.
He thereafter added that qualification from the group is still open and that his side will be out to achieve this in the final group game against Ivory coast.
“It was a very good game, there was a lot of determination in the boys to fight, it was just unfortunate that we conceded those goals scored by Nigeria.
The table is still open, we will come back for the last game and I think it will be a good game against Ivory coast. We are down but it is not yet over.”
