Nigerian international Victor Osimhen wrote his name in the history books as he becomes the first African player to win the Serie A golden boot award.

Osimhen enjoyed a remarkable season with Napoli, netting 26 goals in the just concluded Serie A campaign.

 

 

He is also the first African player to win the award in the 125-year history of the Italian top-flight.

The 24-year-old, who was recently named the striker in Italy, is also the most prolific African in the history of Italian topflight.

Osimhen helped Napoli win the title, their first since they last won 32 years ago.
