Cape Verde manager Pedro Bubista is targeting their first victory at the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers at the expense of Nigeria.
Cape Verde opened their qualifying campaign with a 1-1 draw against Central African Republic on Wednesday and they will host the Super Eagles of Nigeria for their second game on Tuesday.
“Obviously, we want to be as strong as possible to look for the three points. As we create opportunities against the Central African Republic, we are confident that we will also be able to create with Nigeria and any other team.
“We always enter the field with a spirit of victory,” he said.
The match will be played at (Estadio Municipal Aderito Sena, Mindelo where they have incredible records.
In their last 20 matches at home, they won 11 of them, including victory against Cameroon and South Africa. They drew 5 and lost the other 4.
