His arrival takes the total number of players now in camp to 22, as preparations ramp up for Nigeria’s opening match against Ghana at the Gtech Community Stadium in Brentford.
Meanwhile, Maduka Okoye, Amas Obasogie, Chrisantus Uche, and Tolu Arokodare are expected to link up with the squad shortly.
The growing numbers in camp have boosted morale within the team, with players bonding, relaxing, and adjusting to the atmosphere ahead of their first match.
Head coach Eric Chelle has already begun tactical drills as he looks to find the right balance between experienced internationals and standout home-based talents.
The team held its first training session on Monday, with Chelle focused on instilling his tactical ideas and strengthening chemistry among the players.
Meanwhile, Ghana’s head coach Otto Addo announced his 23-man squad for the tournament on Monday.
Key names include Jordan Ayew, Mohammed Salisu, Gideon Mensah, Abdul Samed, Majeed Ashimeru, Christopher Bonsu, Ebenezer Annan, Ibrahim Sulemana, Lawrence Agyekum, and goalkeeper Lawrence Ati-Zigi.
The Unity Cup, which runs from May 27 to 31, features Nigeria, Ghana, Jamaica, and Trinidad & Tobago in a four-nation tournament designed to strengthen football and cultural bonds between Africa and the Caribbean.
For the Super Eagles, the competition provides an opportunity to test new players, evaluate formations, and build cohesion ahead of their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign.
