Cameroonian goalkeeper Charles Tambe has expressed his excitement after signing with Kano Pillars for the upcoming 2024-2025 season.
The veteran shot-stopper joined the Sai Masu Gida as a free agent, following his stint with Remo Stars, where he played a crucial role in helping the club secure back-to-back second-place finishes and qualification for the CAF Champions League.
Tambe, who signed a one-year contract with Pillars after completing a successful medical, shared his enthusiasm in an exclusive interview with Brila.net.
“I’m glad to sign for the club. The history and tradition of Kano Pillars attracted me, and I’m eager to succeed here,” Tambe said. “I had offers from other clubs, but I couldn’t turn down the chance to work with Coach Usman Abdallah.”
He went on to explained the significance of joining such a prominent club.
“Kano Pillars is a big club, so this means a lot to me. I’m not under pressure, but like every footballer, I want to prove myself on the pitch and help the club.”
Looking ahead to the new season, Charles Tambe expressed confidence in the team’s potential.
“We have the capability to achieve great things in the league this season. Our target is to go for the title. I know it’s going to be tough, but we believe in hard work and sacrifice,” he concluded.
Tambe’s signing is expected to bolster Kano Pillars as they aim for a strong campaign in the upcoming season.
