Enyimba shot stopper Olufemi Kayode has stated that Enyimba will not be giving up the fight yet despite Wednesday’s 3-0 defeat suffered at the hands of Sudanese side Al-Merreikj in the CAF champions league to put themselves in the tightest of corner.
Kayode speaking in a chat with Brila.net said he understands the vexation of Nigerians on the heavy defeat especially because of the level of trust in the team but stressed that it is not yet a lost battle despite the huge first leg defeat in Omdurman, Sudan.
“It’s obvious that every Nigerian deserves to be angry because it’s not a good day for us in the office and even we players too are not happy over the result but the truth is that we cannot just give up like that. So we are going to wait till the last day and fight.”
