Defending champions,Mamelodi Sundowns are setting their sights on perfection as they prepare for their crucial final Group B match in the 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League against Edo Queens on Saturday.
The encounter, which will take place at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca, is a must-win for the South African side if they are to reach the semi-finals.

After suffering a 1-0 defeat to FC Masar in their opening match, Sundowns bounced back in spectacular fashion with a dominant 4-0 victory over CBE on Wednesday.

While the win was an advantage, Sundowns coach Jerry Tshabalala stated that there are still areas of their game that need improvement.
“It was important for us to bounce back strong. We started on a negative note and needed to redeem ourselves. Credit must go to CBE; I think they are a good side despite us getting four goals.”
“We appreciate the victory, but there’s a few things that I am not happy with when we play. We still have a few things to fix. We appreciate the victory, but we must continue to work hard.”

Edo Queens have impressed in their debut tournament, remaining unbeaten with four points from two matches.
They top of their group with four points, while FC Masar sits in second place on the same number of points. Sundowns, with three points, need to beat Edo Queens to secure a semi-finals spot.
