CAF postpones 2021 AFCON, AWCON and CHAN

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced that the 2021 African cup of Nations has been shifted to 2022.

The African football governing body confirmed the postponement of the African biggest football Fiesta on Tuesday following meeting with the CAF Executive Committee.

 

The decision was taken as a result of the ongoing global situation in regard to the COVID-19 Pandemic which has ravaged various sporting events across the world.

 

The 2020 Africa Women Cup of Nations (AWCON) and Championship of African Nations (CHAN) which was slated for January 2021 have also been postponed.

 

Meanwhile, the Executive Committee also announced the maiden CAF Champions League for Women.
