Rivers United head Coach Stanley Eguma accepts the underdog tag in the tie against holders Wydad Casablanca in the CAF Champions League qualifiers.

The Nigerian Champions are two games away from a spot in the group stages of the competition and Eguma says the team will ‘fortify’ and prove doubters wrong.

Wydad Casablanca were crowned champions last season, beating Al Ahly 2-0 at the Mohammed V stadium in Casablanca.

The first leg, second round qualifying match is slated for October 9, at the Adokiye Amiesimaka stadium in Port Harcourt.

Rivers United saw off Watanga FC 3-1 on aggregate to reach the final qualifying round of the competition.
