Rivers United coach Stanley Eguma has stated that his side will approach next season’s CAF Champions League in a very different manner after lessons from their previous experiences.
Eguma in a chat with brila.net noted the Portharcourt-based club has learnt from their past mistakes on the continent and will be going to approach the next season’s competition in a better way.
”Rivers United is prepared to do better in next seasons Caf champions league,” Eguma told brila.net.
“We have been there before but we didn’t do well, but this time around we are going to do better because we have learnt our lessons,”
The LMC has ended the Nigerian league and adopted the (PPG) format to pick continental representatives. The League organizers also instructed that the first three teams on the log will represent Nigeria on the continent.
Rivers United, who are second before the pandemic stopped the league will be playing in next season’s Champions League alongside league leaders, Plateau United.
