The Confederation of African Football (CAF), has officially announced that the 2024 African Player of the Year Awards will take place on December 16, 2024, in Marrakech, Morocco.
This marks the third consecutive year that Morocco will host the prestigious event, following last year’s star-studded ceremony.
In a statement, CAF shared, “The CAFAwardsAwards24 will be hosted in the tourist city of Marrakech, Morocco, on 16 December 2024”
While the exact time of the event has yet to be confirmed, CAF assured that further details will follow soon.
The annual CAF Awards celebrate outstanding performances by players and teams in both club and national competitions.
The CAF African Player of the Year in the men’s and women’s categories remains the most coveted award of the night.
Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman is among the favorites for the Men’s Player of the Year award, following an impressive season with Atalanta and the Super Eagles.
His exceptional performances have put him at the forefront of the competition..
