The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has revealed the top five nominees in each women’s category for the upcoming 2024 CAF Awards, set to take place on December 16 in Marrakech, Morocco. 

The awards, which cover the period from January to October 2024, recognize the stellar performances of players, coaches, and teams across the continent.

From powerful national team displays to exceptional individual feats at the club level, this year’s nominees represents the growing strength of African women’s football.

Women’s Player of the Year

This highly anticipated category features five incredible athletes who have left a significant mark on both their national teams and club sides:

1. Tabitha Chawinga (Malawi / Olympique Lyonnais)
2. Temwa Chawinga (Malawi / Kansas City Current)
3. Sanaâ Mssoudy (Morocco / AS FAR)
4. Chiamaka Nnadozie (Nigeria / Paris FC)
5. Barbra Banda (Zambia / Orlando Pride)

Goalkeeper of the Year
