Bruno Onyemaechi Signs Permanent Deal With Boavista

Nigerian left-back Bruno Onyemaechi has finalized his transfer to Boavista following an impressive 2023/24 season on loan.

Initially joining the Portuguese club on loan from Firense in the 2022/23 season, Onyemaechi’s deal was made permanent in August 2023 for a reported fee of €1 million, with a contract extending until the summer of 2026.

Onyemaechi made 24 appearances in the Portuguese first division last season, contributing one assist and quickly becoming a fan favorite at Estádio do Bessa.

His performances were instrumental in helping Boavista avoid relegation.

The 25-year-old also made his debut for the Nigerian national team last October during the final game of the 2023 AFCON qualifiers against Sao Tome and Principe.
