With football activities across several parts of Europe shutdown and players in self-isolation as the world grapples with the spread of coronavirus, footballers all over are seeking out ways to kill time in isolation.
For Nigerian footballer Brown Ideye, he has spent most of his downtime playing video games online and describes it as “my second wife.”
Ideye, 31, joined Greek Super League side Aris FC last summer and has been in self-isolation since the suspension of the League.
With the ‘Stay At Home Challenge’ among the fun things footballers have taken to, Ideye told brila.net that he spent most part of the day online.
“I play video games all day. That’s my second wife,” Ideye said.
“I play online with my friends, they too are on quarantine and we play for hours until the play station console goes off.”
