Nigeria’s female Boxing sensation Adijat Gbadamosi has suggested her silver medal at the 2018 Youth Summer Olympic Games was a consolation of her pre-games target of a gold medal.
Adijat was outclassed in the final of the Women’s Flyweight to Italy’s Marina la Piana, who scored a 5-0 points on the cards.
The 48kg non professional boxer who still expressed delight at picking a medal said it made all the effort put into preparing for the games worth while.
Speaking with Brila.net after arriving the country from the games, She said the quality of boxers at the Youth Games was “top notch”.
Nigeria’s other boxer in the women’s event failed to reach the medal zone.
