Coach of Nigeria’s national Boxing team Anthony Konyegwachi has expressed been pleased with the opportunity to stage the Boxing champion of Champions competition despite the challenge of the Covid plagued year.
Konyegwachi speaking in a chat with brila.net said the competition provides the avenue to note and scout for boxers ahead of next year’s final chance for a shot at Olympic qualification.
“It’s the first competition for us after the Covid-19, after eight-nine months and it’s the last tournament in the year for us. Just to see our boxers, the best crop of boxers coming together and out of these boxers we will choose those that we will be going with to the qualifiers in France.”
