French Ligue 1 side Bordeaux has confirmed that Samuel Kalu suffered an injury and will be sidelined for sometimes.

The French club said the winger suffered a torn hamstring in the left thigh, while on international duty with Nigeria.

Kalu featured in the game against Algeria last Friday but was allowed to return to France before the game against Tunisian last night.

“The Nigerian international winger was injured in the last game of the “Super Eagles”. Our player suffers from a tear in the hamstrings of the left thigh . His downtime will depend on the progress of the injury.” the club said on their official website.

The player will undergo further tests to determine the extent of the damage.
