Super Eagles forward Victor Boniface scored one as Leverkusen recorded an emphatic 5-1 win over Eintracht Frankfurt on Sunday.

Boniface, initially benched for the match, made a significant impact after coming on in the 61st minute.

The 23-year-old netted a penalty in the 89th minute, to make it 5-1 for Leverkusen.

With this latest strike, Boniface’s goal tally in the league season reached an impressive 12 goals in just 21 appearances, further cementing his status as a key player for the newly crowned Bundesliga champions.

He now has a remarkable 19 goal across all competitions this season.

Meanwhile, his international teammate Nathan Tella played from the start before being substituted off in the 72nd minute.
