Nigerian forward Victor Boniface has quashed rumors of a potential departure from the club this summer.
Boniface, a key player in Bayer Leverkusen’s recent title-winning campaign, has attracted interests from several European teams including Napoli and Newcastle United.
Responding to the rumours, the Nigerian who joined Leverkusen from Union SG just over a year ago, is focused on honoring his current contract with the club.
“My current focus is solely on Leverkusen, striving to aid the team in achieving further milestones,” He told AFP.
His contributions have been integral to Leverkusen’s record-breaking season, with eleven goals and eight assists in 22 league matches.
