Akwa United Head Coach Kennedy Boboye says the Match-Day 27 Nigeria Professional Football League Fixture clash between Kano Pillars and Akwa United should be televised.
Akwa United and Kano Pillars are separated by just a point at the top of the table and the match promises to be a cracker.
Boboye’s side are currently on 16 matches unbeaten run in the league, while Kano Pillars led by Ibrahim Musa are yet to taste defeat at home.
Akwa United won the first meeting 2-0 at the Nest of Champions in Uyo last year and they will going to the second fixtures at the back of 3-1 demolition of Heartland last Thursday.
Boboye who once manged Sunshine Stars, Plateau United and Abia Warriors hinted that the much talked about game is a good advertisement for the Nigerian league.
“It is a big match, the two teams are first and second so I expect the game to be on TV.” Boboye said to the press.
Boboye was in Port Harcourt to watch Rivers United beat Kano Pillars 2-0 on Wednesday, before returning home to Uyo to mastermind his side’s win over Heartland 24 hours later.
