Portuguese side Boavista have placed a €6 million valuation on left-back Bruno Onyemaechi, who is reportedly attracting interest from Turkish club Trabzonspor.
Onyemaechi, 25, has enjoyed a solid spell since joining Boavista permanently from Feirense in July 2023.
Last season, during his initial loan stint, he recorded two goals and one assist in 33 appearances. This season, he has continued to impress, contributing two goals and one assist in 15 league matches for the Black and Whites.
With 18 months remaining on his contract, Boavista faces a tricky negotiation situation. Despite Transfermarkt valuing Onyemaechi at €3 million, the club is holding out for a fee in the range of €5-6 million.
Onyemaechi, who has spent his entire professional career in Portugal, is reportedly open to a move to Turkey.
A transfer to Trabzonspor would mark a new chapter for the Nigerian international, who was also part of Nigeria’s squad for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire.
Boavista will hope to secure a favorable deal for the talented defender, even as time on his contract gives prospective buyers some leverage.
